Signing up emails, create what feels like thousands of new accounts, transferring everything from our other businesses into a single place… all rather time consuming… especially when you keep having trips away in the middle of it all! I started the month salmon fishing in Scotland, headed back to London for the week and then my girlfriend treated me to 5 days in Slovenia for my birthday.
I came straight home and went to meet my friends in Belgium for the weekend. A lot going on here and I also have a few big projects over at MVG. Have a listen for yourself and become more focused:. We always have the option of repenting and turning our spiritual ears to the Lord. How many quiet times do our children enjoy?
How often do they treasure moments of solitude and stillness? Are they so busy, so programmed, so fenced in with noisy electronics that they never even know what they are missing? I still treasure some of my first experiences of enjoying stillness and solitude, such as sleeping in a hammock hung from pine trees near a lake when I was about eight years old.
The rest of the family was sleeping in a tent, but my parents gave in to my pleas and let me sleep in the hammock. I was mesmerized by the starry sky, the whispering breeze in the trees, and the water lapping on the shore; I felt perfectly still.
Listening Below the Noise: A Meditation on the Practice of Silence
When I was twelve years old, my dad pitched a tent in our big back yard. That afternoon it rained, and I went out into the tent by myself and sat there entranced, listening to the soft pitter-pat of the rain on the canvas and drinking in the feeling of peace. I felt close to nature, close to God.

Later, when I was in high school, I remember coming home from a play practice just after the family had retired. I sank into a chair near the warm fire and breathed a sigh of contentment. The quiet of our house felt so good after my busy day. I felt a kind of reverence and gratitude, and was drawn into prayer. One way we can create times of spiritual oasis for our children over twelve is to encourage them to participate in baptisms for the dead. During the time I was playing the organ in the temple baptistery, I made a huge paradigm shift. The chapel was often full of young people waiting their turn to do baptisms for the dead.
They were experiencing a true spiritual oasis.
Protecting the vulnerable
No TV show or video game beckoned. No blaring music distracted. They had nothing to do but think, pray, contemplate, read scriptures or church magazines. They were experiencing precious and rare quiet moments that invite the sweet feeling of spiritual promptings. Once savored, the experience begs to be repeated.
Whenever I find myself spiritually disconnected, previous oasis experiences compel me to seek the Spirit again and again. And the promise is sure: as we seek, we find. Only through the Spirit can we be led to Living Water. We need to create islands of time for ourselves to listen to the still small voice. What about those days when the turmoil is inside? When no matter how quiet the environment, we can find no inner stillness? And the sea obeyed! However, I've lived all my life in a variety of different properties all with electric wiring, some with gas, some near pylons, most with telephone wires, etc.
I have friends who are gamers, most of them responsible in setting their volume levels. My son is a grown up gamer he doesn't obviously live with me I know the sound that gaming machines make when used and when 'ticking over' and this is the sound that I am hearing. OK, not everyone will have the problem - only two of the other residents here are bothered by the noise - other residents don't hear it. Which is, of course, a huge part of the problem,i. I could go down the route of stripping out all of the electrical wiring in my flat, but I don't think the landlord would be too happy!
I certainly accept that other people's experience with LFN is not down to gamers, but other reasons, everyone is different. I will certainly try your tip about using cotton wool soaked in Coconut oil. I have just been informed by my local EH department that: they don't deal with people who have this particular noise sensitivity!!

Same answer. A reasonable person reasonable based on what measurement Same answer. I cannot find any organization in the UK which assists and 1 in 50 of the population who are sensitive to LFN. Does anyone in the UK know of such an organization? If so, please let me know, because it is about time the laws regarding how EH departments worked, was changed.
Aug 18, Hi Dee! When I speak of the Power Grid powerlines, wall-wiring, etc. So the chunk of solid Coconut Oil in ear acts as a barrier plus the cotton ball on top to prevent it leaking after it begins to melt. Supposedly a cheap drugstore generic "Hearing Amplifier" can turn LF up into "normal hearing range" which supposedly then cancels out the LF see my first comment from Jan. Hang in there!
Aug 18, To Smart. My latest find resulted in being told the e mail address was no longer in use. Then I looked at the info and saw that it was written years ago, so I guess group no longer in use.
I guess it would be helpful if people dismantled their web sites when they no longer used them! Thus, my plea for help on this forum. I've tried other possibles in the past, but no response. To be honest, I think people just give up in the face of the governments disinterest, and obstruction to progress, with this problem. No way will they do that.
It would open the biggest can of worms ever. Our laws in the UK are pathetic when it comes to minority groups' sufferings and harm. However, as soon as I can find some people willing to form a support group with the remit of being focused on active campaigning the better. Who is John Dawes? Is he someone sympathetic to the problems experienced by LFN suffers?

Re the amplifier thing. Not heard of them over here years behind the times as usual. I have tried sleeping in supposedly 'noise blocking' headphones, but of course very uncomfortable and also, I realized, that the 'noise blocking' bit is to stop noise intrusion when listening to music, not to block noise out completely. I wish! This vibration caused Scotland to commission several reports and they are ions ahead n admitting there exists an environmental health issue.
